About Me

Currently I am a reporter in Cedar City, Utah. Among many other beats, I cover Cedar City government, Iron County, cops, courts, business, and outdoors.

I absolutely love my job and have a passion for what I do. I believe in the power the media has to change the outcome of the future and I wholeheartedly think that we in the media have a responsibility to hold government accountable for their actions. As I've told the different people I regularly work with in public office -- I may sing your praises today, if deserved, and tomorrow hold your feet to the fire -- asking you the questions you don't want to answer.

On a personal level, I am a mother of six beautiful children. I have four daughters and two sons. I also am a grandma to three awesome and amazing grandchildren who I cherish with all my heart.

I love the outdoors and am a total earth baby born in April. I would much rather run around bare foot dressed down in t-shirts and jeans than in high heals and dresses.When I do have to wear shoes generally it's boots.

I love coffee and am a chocolate connoisseur. I love to eat at a little place in Cedar City called the All-American Diner and you can find me there nearly every Sunday morning or afternoon with my family.

When I have time I love to read, cook, decorate, garden, collect anything vintage, spend time with friends and spend time outdoors, rappelling, hiking, ATVing, camping, fishing and spend time with friends.

I'm very patriotic and honor and cherish God, family and country.

My favorite pastime is spending time with my family -- whether it's watching a movie, spending time outdoors, eating Sunday dinner together, playing a game of Monopoly or just hanging out together.
